Why buy a Naish Chimera wing foil board?

For the 2027 season, the Chimera has been completely redesigned. With this new board, we focused on achieving all the planing speed of our current shapes in a more compact, maneuverable, and stable platform.
Despite its completely new shape, the Chimera remains true to its original design philosophy: a truly unique board that allows you to practice all the disciplines you love on the water.
With the rise of the parawing, we've also refined the Chimera's shape to shorten the learning curve and make it even more suitable for this new discipline.

Features:

• Profile: The Chimera's new profile is shorter in volume than all our previous models, maintaining the same width at the tip and increasing it at the tail. This profile change allows us to concentrate the same amount of volume in a more compact profile.
• The wider tail facilitates planing, as the board creates more lift at low speeds, bringing it to the surface and allowing for rapid acceleration.
• The parallel profile allows for better volume distribution along the entire board, creating a shorter distance between the footbox and the deck, offering a more direct feel on the foil.
• The more even distribution of volume along the entire length of the board helps reduce rotational weight. This makes the nose feel much lighter in turns.
• Rocker: We've added more rocker to the nose and tail of the 2027 Chimera with stringer to improve pumping efficiency, while maintaining a lower/flatter rocker at the rail point to still allow the board to plane quickly.
• Bottom Shape: The bottom shape is inspired by the 2026 Odyssey DW boards, featuring a convex hull with a sharp leading edge at the front of the board and flat, straight bevels at the rear (approximately 40%).
• The nose shape promotes water separation when pumping on the foil, while the flatter tail helps reduce planing speed.
• Large Foothold: We've reduced the deck concavities, making it more comfortable for both a wide, staggered stance and a narrow, more central stance.
• Nose Paneling and Edge Shape: A thin nose paneling has been added to reduce wind resistance in strong crosswinds. This also reduces the edge profile, preventing it from dipping into the water in the event of accidental contact.
